The role involves numerous vineyard tasks and operation of various machinery mainly covering the McLaren Vale Region, with additional services for the Dept of Environment and Water (Slashing National Parks) and the Dept. of Planning, Transport & Infrastructure.

Yangarra Estate Vineyard and Hickinbotham Clarendon Vineyard are two highly acclaimed certified organic vineyards based at Kangarilla in the McLaren Vale Wine Region.
Reporting to the Vineyard Manager, this position based in Kangarilla requires an efficient and hard-working Vineyard Operator to work closely with the vineyard team to achieve the timely completion of all vineyard operations. You will be required to demonstrate the ability to think quickly on your feet, show initiative, be reliable and use your time effectively.
Key responsibilities and duties include;
- Mechanical canopy management, weed control and pre-pruning
- Harvest Operations – mechanical harvesting and pick up
- Organic chemical application and recording processes – multirow spray unit
- Fencing and trellis repairs and maintenance
- Irrigation maintenance
- Responsible for the daily maintenance and upkeep of vineyard equipment, reporting of faults or breakages immediately
- Responsible for WH&S compliance and ensuring that all work activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures and policies
It is expected that all applicants can demonstrate the following attributes:
- Experience with both the practical and technical aspects of vineyard operations
- Ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a team and autonomously
- Proven highly developed organisational, prioritisation and time management skills

- Assisting with the winemaking plan and cellar note production

Job Requirements
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

JOB DESCRIPTION
Mollydooker Wines, McLaren Vale, South Australia is looking for someone with a positive attitude to join us as Casual Laboratory Assistant/Cellar Hand for Vintage 2024.
This role involves conducting daily juice and wine analysis as well as working hands on in the winery cellar, such as:
• Routine chemical analysis including: pH, TA, VA, SO2, Brix, Be, RS
• Measuring and recording of fermentation data and enzymatic analysis
• Calibration and QA checks of Lab equipment and procedures
• Identifying and reporting unusual or out of specification results
• General housekeeping and cleanliness procedures within the laboratory
The position will commence approximately 12th February 2024 and will continue until vintage completion (estimated to be late April possibly early May).
The successful candidate must be available to work both days and nights on a 2 week rotating roster and be prepared to work weekends and public holidays as required.

• Previous Winery experience is preferred; training in all Mollydooker systems will be provided.

Wirra Wirra is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced cellar operator who is keen to lead the cellar team as our Cellar Supervisor.
Reporting to the Chief Winemaker, the Cellar Supervisor plays an essential role in contributing to and participating in the creation of a safe, efficient work environment for the winery team.
The Cellar Supervisor leads the cellar team whilst remaining in a hands-on capacity to ensure winemaking plans are executed in a timely manner to the highest quality outcome.
The Cellar Supervisor maintains a very close working relationship with the winemaking team, to help deliver:

- Manage day to day cellar operator priorities and work standards.
- A high performance, skilled cellar team.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensures all employees adhere to cellar procedures as specified in company procedures with a strong emphasis on health and safety.
- Manage the cellar team to ensure the quality of work completed is of the required standard.
- Execute work plans efficiently and effectively within the cellar team.
- Create a culture of continuous improvement and quality focus.
- Ensure cellar team are operating efficiently and effectively to deliver against work plan with clear and effective communication.
- Identify training gaps and coordinate training programmes when required.
- Develop and review standard operating procedures (SOPs), Risk assessments (RAs) and work instructions and ensures compliance.
- Manage hours worked, overtime and rostering of the cellar team and vintage casuals, including any shift work required.
- Lead operator and trainer for key equipment – cross flow, presses, RDV, crusher, barrel work and juice flotation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a winery operator role
- Experience operating equipment such as cross flow filter, air bag presses, crushing equipment, RDV filter, barrel emptying, filling and stacking.
- Current Australian Driver’s License
- Current Australian Forklift license
- Experience leading a team.
- Competent computer skills
- Basic management skills
- Working knowledge of winery policies and procedures
Preferred experience
- Experience with prioritisation of work
- Managing rosters
- Experience recruiting casual staff.
- Experience driving tractors and trailers.
Required Licences/Certifications
- Current confined space certificate, training will be provided as necessary.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- Work can be physical in nature, so a degree of physical fitness and health is required. Shift work will be a requirement of the job, mostly during vintage.

Cellar Door Sales Assistant
We are seeking casual cellar door staff to join our team at Lloyd Brothers, located in the heart of McLaren Vale.
Lloyd Brothers wines and olives are handcrafted to highlight the very best of the fruit grown from our Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale Estates.
The ideal candidate is someone who has a passion for wine and food, with great communications skills.
Our cellar door operates 7 days a week and thus we are looking for someone to be part of our team willing to work a minimum of 2 shifts a week, with at least one weekend and weekday available.
Basic wine knowledge and hospitality experience is preferred, however full training will be provided for all new staff members.
Duties include:

Our home
Firehawk Farm is home to Dandelion Vineyards in McLaren Vale. Our 60-acre property is
perched atop an ancient ridge overlooking McLaren Vale, the Willunga Escarpment and the
Gulf of St Vincent. Firehawk is our native bird of prey that soars over our vineyards acting as
scarecrows to other birds, rabbits and the like that eat ripening grapes. Below the surface there's
limestone, ironstone and the 40 acres under vine include, Grenache, Shiraz and Petite Sirah.

The role
We are looking for a passionate Sous chef to support our Executive chef in delivering unique
wine and food experiences at our Wonder Room. We have the rare opportunity to present
