Membership & Benefits

McLaren Vale Grape Wine & Tourism Association (MVGWTA) offers the following Industry Memberships:




GRAPE GROWER AND WINERY MEMBERSHIP

Membership for wineries and grape growers is paid through the Wine Industry Fund (WIF) Levy managed by Primary Industries Resources South Australia (PIRSA). The payment of annual WIF contributions automatically provides membership to the McLaren Vale Grape Wine & Tourism Association (MVGWTA). Further information on the wine industry funds with access to contribution forms can be found on the PIRSA Grape and Wine website.


Grape Grower and Winery Members receive the following benefits (not exhaustive):

  • Marketing & Promotion:
    • Listing on the mclarenvale.info tourism website (through ATDW), McLaren Vale’s number 1 ranking site
    • Ability to promote individual events on the mclarenvale.info/events page (through ATDW)
    • Ability to promote experiences on the mclarenvale.info/experience page (through ATDW)
    • Ability to participate in regional consumer events, including Grenache & Gourmet & SummerVines.
    • Ability to participate in Visiting Identities Programs, encompassing in-bound visits by travel and wine media and trade.
    • Invitations to support regionally branded domestic and international promotional opportunities.
    • Opportunities for digital promotion via the McLaren Vale Wine Region social media channels and the McLaren Vale Memo monthly consumer-facing newsletters.
    • Ability to advertise events to MVGWTA members via the MVGWTA Members Weekly Bulletin.
    • Ability to advertise employment opportunities via the MVGWTA Jobs Board.
    • Access to use the McLaren Vale image library in business promotional material
    • Access to use the Brand McLaren Vale logo in business promotional material
    • One-on-one assistance with ATDW troubleshooting
    • GA4 Analytics reports for website listings upon request
  • Capacity & Capability Development:
    • Receipt of the MVGWTA Members Weekly Bulletin, covering topics including regional promotional activities, industry updates, grant and award opportunities and relevant seminars and conferences.
    • Ability to attend and host Wine Tourism Committee monthly famil and networking events.
    • Access to MVGWTA capacity-building workshops and seminars.
    • Access to the MVGWTA Wine Tourism Facebook Group for information sharing and discussion with regional tourism colleagues.
    • Access to Member resources such as regional promotional and informational materials.
    • Ability to purchase tickets to the McLaren Vale Wine Show Bushing Lunch.
    • Ability to participate in MVGWTA’s partnership programs such as the Great Wine Capitals of the World Network, including the Best of Wine Tourism Awards.
  • Advocacy, Consultation and Strategic Direction:
    • Access to consultations facilitated by MVGWTA on the region or a sector’s behalf with external stakeholders.
    • Eligibility to vote in Annual General Meetings and on matters requiring Member endorsement or vote.
    • Eligibility to apply and be considered for terms on the Board of MVGWTA.
    • Ability to contribute towards the region's development via participation in MVGWTA's Committees and Working Groups.



TOURISM MEMBERSHIP

Tourism businesses operating within the McLaren Vale GI are eligible for Tourism Membership of the McLaren Vale Grape Wine & Tourism Association at an annual membership fee of $390.00 (inc. GST).

*Where a business, whose primary business necessitates payment of McLaren Vale WIF Contributions, seeks a secondary Tourism membership – the Association mandates that the WIF contributions must be paid in full prior to a secondary Membership being provided (discounts may apply)

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP

Businesses eligible for Associate Membership of the McLaren Vale Grape Wine & Tourism Association provide a direct or related service to the grape, wine and/or tourism sectors within the McLaren Vale GI, at a cost of $290 per annum (including GST)

Please note: Associate Members of MVGWTA do not have voting rights, as per Clause 5.12 of the Association’s Constitution. Please refer to Clauses 5.4 and 5.6 for information regarding Membership Type and Fees.
